Blockbuster to Close 300 Stores, Killed by Streaming Video

It's another nail in the coffin of physical media. Dish Network Corp., which acquired Blockbuster in 2011, has now announced that it will close approximately 300 Blockbuster stores in the coming weeks, leaving just 500 U.S. locations still open.
