    Mattel announced an even more high-tech Barbie accessory -- the $70 Barbie Digital Makeover Mirror. Put some batteries in the vanity frame, slide in your iPad, download the Barbie mirror app, pick up the applicator and apply digital makeup. Using the iPad's camera and facial recognition software, girls can look into the "mirror" and put on eye shadow, lipstick, color, and glitter.

    Nerf's classic basketball hoop has also gotten a high-tech spin. The Nerf N-Sports Cyberhoop has an "app" mode. Download the app to your iPad and the app will pair with the hoop via audio recognition. The iPad then becomes your scoreboard -- it can track the shots you made and you can even set up another hoop. It will be available in the fall for $20.

    Fisher Price's Imaginext Apptivity Fortress is a toy castle from the future. Slide the iPad into the play set, download the Imaginext Fortress app and it automatically interacts with the knight figurines and cannons. It will be out in the fall for $50.
