I'm -- folly of This Week with George Stephanopoulos I'm joined today by fax news anchor Greta Van Susteren. And since we believe all politics of social here we're putting some of your face the questions -- -- -- thank you for joining us happy to be here and our first question comes from Scott Wallace. He asks how did -- law background prepare you for TV great questions got in this and I hoisted on my journalist friends as -- unlike journalism I took an exam competency called the bar exam. We're journalist is raising Nancy I'm a journalist but kitty this is -- one great thing about legal education and we spent three years studying the difference between opinion and fact is a very different line and -- oftentimes gets blurred in the news between opinion and fact secondly -- I have a very strong aversion to the over use anonymous sources number in the courtroom. -- take the witness stand. Identify who you are you rating and you -- on the Republicans and nothing but the truth and so you know facts are very important to at least -- I hope I do my business. Like -- blurred line between opinion and fact -- just that the strictest of our legal education I think it helps that but. Another final things that we have a code of professional responsibility. And journalism. -- police each other by invited provide jumping all over each -- only get it wrong. But in the in the legal business is actually code of -- responsibility make you commit to -- certain behavior and certain. Parts are. -- that kind of sideways nice things the next question which is Kevin G Smith. Does her own opinion on a topic ever come into play with the question she asks -- certainly does and and I hope it's obvious but it does because look. You know there's there's news gather rain and there is opinion. And the more dangerous thing is when he thinks it was news gathering and then -- in their particular opinion. Yes of course it does leadership is an outrage to me because I've got some Taiwan that you push my button talk about ways to prod the government is likely I can't understand. -- there is at work chasing down waste and fraud in the government so yes you're gonna hear my opinion on an adult with loud and clear. And I know you're Smart enough to know what I'm talking facts. And when I'm talking opinion and my opinion. I'm Denise -- asks what I would like to know what -- most memorable in areas. Denise when I was at CNN many moons ago which is in the 1990s. I was guest hosting for Larry king and it was the big guest -- the president of Romania. And as you might have guessed I don't speak -- language of Romania. And unfortunately forgot but the translation my ear and I was so new at it and so terrified. That I wasn't Smart enough to just say let's take a break I can't of the translation -- we'll be right back instead I panicked and went through the entire interview. -- asked the president Romania question -- it over here he responded so he stopped talking had no idea -- he said -- ask another question about a topic over here it wasn't really very Linear. And the reason why did -- just for questions is because I was afraid his answer which you are getting -- at -- in English was I just answered that question -- just said that. So I -- entire segment of the president Romania. And I never heard I never missed a single word he said because I didn't -- the translation and I was too -- too freaked out that I just went with the flow. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Part of politics. I love going to be Pope. Both plus the fact I love the fact that he's he looks like he's wearing white -- actually -- an episode as well as my favorite on the terms of topics have been around the block. About twenty years the cable news and that and it -- just about. Everybody and I really liked the politician who actually -- industry Nancy a lot of politicians -- the question and politician is answering you can -- answers. The rest of -- yourself because you get these sort of talking points of its heart in a few politicians it's really hard -- -- drive did he get them to give -- the real answers not the one that they have. Planned through. Thank you so much for joining us and thank you value that submit your questions. Be sure to follow us on Twitter at this week ABC.
