Authorities in suburban Chicago are on the lookout for a mother and her two daughters after they went missing last weekend.

Aneta Marsek, 33, and her daughters, Chevelle and Macenzie, of Volo, Ill., about an hour northwest of Chicago, were last seen leaving her parents' house Saturday evening, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said Friday. They were later reported missing by her estranged husband, Dan Marsek, on Wednesday afternoon.

"I hope the cops can figure it out, what happened," John Czaga, Marsek's father, told ABC News' Chicago station, WLS.

Czaga said Marsek filed for divorce from her husband after she gave birth to Macenzie, who is 4 months old. Chevelle is 2. Marsek had lost her job in retail and was planning to move.

"She was supposed to move in this Saturday to our house, but now I don't think that's going to happen," Czaga said.

For now, police are calling it a missing persons case. Investigators searched Marsek's home this week and were seen removing several items.

Marsek's husband did not respond to calls from WLS, but according to the station he did change his voicemail greeting to thank people for their support and request prayers for his missing family members.

Authorities described Aneta Marsek as approximately 5-foot-10 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Chevelle is 30 inches tall, weighing around 30 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Macenzie is 28 inches tall, 25 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Aneta's car is a black Chevrolet Trailblazer with Illinois plates CZAJA28. It may have rear bumper damage from a recent accident.
