'Did I Just Do the 'Not Impressed Face' With the President?'

Maroney tweeted: "Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President..?"
Maroney turned into an Internet celebrity during this summer's games when a picture of her famous scowl went viral and eventually turned into an Internet meme.
'[If Broadwell Combined Her Memoir With a Fitness Guide] ... It Really Might Sell Well.'
David of the Bible had Bathsheba. David of the U.S. Army (Petraeus) acknowledged having an affair with Paula Broadwell. In between, countless public figures have had mistresses both infamous and famous, some of whom, after the sheets cooled, put pen to paper and dished the delicious details of their sin.
Did Broadwell keep a diary of their alleged affair? Is she working on a memoir? No one says she did, or that she is. To date she has given no interviews to the press, including to ABC News.
If, however, she were to write her story, how much might she get? Peter Bernstein of the Peter W. Bernstein Literary Agency in New York City thinks Broadwell could get "a sizeable six-figure advance."
"Of course," adds the agent tongue-in-cheek, if Broadwell with her well-developed biceps combined her memoir with a fitness guide on how to do the perfect push-up, "it really might sell well."
'A Ground Invasion Is a Possibility, Although It Hasn't Been Decided at This Point.'
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Israel's Air Force reduced the headquarters of the militant group Hamas to rubble. It was one of several Hamas buildings and homes targeted, part of Israel's continuing effort to destroy the group's command and control structure as speculation mounts over an Israeli ground invasion.
The loud thud of Israeli missiles hitting Gaza and the buzz of drones overhead were consistent on Saturday, as Israeli tanks and troops massed on the border in preparation of a ground invasion. Israeli media also reported that 20,000 reservists have been called up.
"We are preparing for any possibility, a ground invasion is a possibility although it hasn't been decided at this point," said IDF spokeswoman Lt. Col. Avital Liebovich. "We are ready to continue this operation Pillar of Defense until the peace and quiet and normality will return."
'I Hope They Revert to the Way Things Were When Black Friday Was on Friday.'
Retailers are pushing the envelope again this Thanksgiving with earlier store openings, bringing jeers from some employees who say they would prefer to spend the holiday with their families.
This year, a sister of a Target employee in Vernon Hills, Ill., started apetition on Change.org.
Jennifer Ann, 26, started the petition so that her younger brother, a part-time Target employee, can spend Thanksgiving with the family. She asked that her last name not be published to protect her brother's employment with the retailer.
"Every year this gets worse," she said. "People want to spend Thanksgiving with their families. Next year, I hope they revert to the way things were when Black Friday was on Friday."
'We've Made History, and We're Proud of That'
After a hard-fought race in a newly formed Arizona congressional district, Democrat Kyrsten Sinema was declared the winner Monday, becoming the first openly bisexual member of Congress.
Sinema, a former state senator, joins at least five openly gay Democrats who were elected to House seats, and Tammy Baldwin, who became the first openly gay candidate elected to the Senate.
When asked by ABCNews.com how it felt to be the first openly bisexual member of Congress, Sinema said, "We've made history, and we're proud of that, but what I am interested in is making history by making things better for the people of Arizona's 9th Congressional District."
'Hostess Brands Will Move Promptly to Lay off Most of Its 18,500-member Workforce.'
Hostess Brands Inc., the maker of Wonder Bread and Twinkies, announced today that it will liquidate because not enough striking employees returned to work by a Thursday evening deadline set by the company.
"We deeply regret the necessity of today's decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike," said Gregory F. Rayburn, chief executive officer. "Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders."
'Racist Cretin Who'd Lie Like 'His Rug' to Get Some Cheap Press!'
A petition urging Macy's to "dump" Donald Trump and his branded goods from its advertisements and stores could reach 500,000 signatures today as some consumers react to the retail giant's relationship with the controversial critic of President Obama. Among those consumers was Cher, the singer and actress, who aired her frustrations via Twitter on Sunday.
"Racist cretin who'd lie like 'his rug' to get some cheap press! I can't believe Macy's thinks he's the right 'man' 2 represent their name!" she tweeted.
Trump fired back on Tuesday.
"@cher -- I don't wear a "rug" -- it's mine," he tweeted. "And I promise not to talk about your massive plastic surgeries that didn't work."
The so-called "Dump Trump" petition, which users sign through the site signon.org, was organized by 30-year-old lawyer Angelo Carusone. Carusone cites Trump's post-election tweets, one of which urged a "march on Washington" after the election. Carusone said he also believes a Macy's Christmas ad in which Trump doubts a man who claims to be Santa, presumably in a nod to Trump's "birther" argument that Obama may not have been born in the United States, has helped encourage people to sign his petition.
