1. Family of FBI Agent Captured in Iran Releases Photo

The family of Robert Levinson, a former FBI agent who was kidnapped in Iran, has released new photos of him draped in chains and wearing mock prison garb. Levinson was captured while on a business trip in 2007.

2. Giffords and Kelly Launch Gun Control Effort

Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly have launched a gun control lobbying effort. Americans for Responsible Solutions aims to help raise money to support greater gun control efforts. The initiative comes in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. shooting and two years after the Tuscon shooting.

3. Parents Warned on Fisher-Price Sleeper

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday that it's warning parents to inspect Fisher-Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleepers due to a risk of exposure to mold for infants who use them. The warning applies to 800,000 of the infant sleepers.

4. Unemployment Below 7 Percent in Most US Cities

Unemployment rates fell below 7 percent in a majority of U.S. cities in November, according to the Labor Department. This suggests steady job gains are benefiting most of the country.

5. 'Lincoln' Leads BAFTA Nominations

The British Academy Film Awards announced its nominations overnight and "Lincoln" leads the race with 10 nominations, including Best Picture. "Les Miserables" and "Life of Pi" each received 9 nominations.
