here at home outside of atlanta. A team of firefighters did the brave thing they do, responding to a 911 call. When they arrived, they were taken hostage by a gunman. S.W.A.T. Team storming the scene and abc's ron claiborne tells us what happened next. Reporter: The dramatic stand-off began just before 5:00. At a house in a residential neighborhood 35 miles outside atlanta. The firefighters who are also EMTs WERE TAKEN CAPTIVE Responding to a call of a medical emergency. Authorities say the suspects released a firefighter so he could move his fire truck. Our s.W.A.T. Team is on scene. The house is surrounded. Our negotiators are attempting to communicate.
