And now, back here to the new warning from the CDC about measles on the March in America. We're tracking a surge of cases in 13 states. California and New York are the hardest hit. The number of cases growing at a pace not seen in nearly 20 years. How far could this go and how fast? ABC's chief medical editor Dr. Richard Besser breaks it down. Reporter: Fever, aching eyes. Hacking cough and after a week you covered by red dots. Measles. The CDC warns it's back and spreading. Doctors don't recognize it. Most residents who are training have never seen measles. 129 cases so far this year. 58 in California. Last year at this time, just four. The CDC saying it's the highest number of cases since 1996. It's so contagious Dr. Sawyer has prepared pressure rooms. Takes out any infectious agent. Reporter: Behind the outbreak, many unvaccinated travelers after tripping to the Philippines where there's an outbreak. And increasing number of parents who won't vaccinate their children. We are up to 4 1/2% of our children who have not had all their vaccines. Reporter: Something to say for parents who don't want to vaccinate. That's not fair. You're relying on everybody else to, you know, to do it for you. Reporter: For any pediatricians it's a hot button issue. Is it a parents' right to vaccinate or not vaccinate their child?
