But every now and then the universe decides to create a smile and the grand ole opry was watching. So abc's steve osunsami tells us what happened just this weekend. Reporter: There's something incredibly powerful about a dream and for taylor sloan, hers came do life here. I could do this for the rest of my life. Reporter: This is your superpower? Yes. ♪ I'm proud to be a coal miner's daughter ♪ Reporter: We first met her singing her heart out behind a check-out counter in walmart. One of her customers recorded this video. ♪ My coat of many colors that my mama made for me ♪ Reporter: Which spread on the internet and then on this program. While the folks around the opry were watching this news and decided to pluck her star out of the sky, inviting her to sing. We're about putting smiles on people's faces and making dreams come true. The night before she worked at the walmart in west virginia and her husband, a coal miner, had to work too. As she was getting ready, a big surprise. Loretta lin was calling to wish her well.
