Hooked: The Rise of Heroin in the U.S.

This week's "20/20" follows the journeys of Ashley, Justin, and Dylan -- three suburban young people caught in the powerful grip of heroin addiction. The number of heroin users in this country has nearly doubled since 2007, according to a survey by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Authorities report that the popularity of the drug is quickly spreading outside the cities and into the suburbs. The heroin of 2010 is strong, cheap, and can hook users with just one hit.
