Dayna Marie Kempson was a single mom with two kids living in Griffin, Georgia. "She was just a very active, beautiful young girl," said her father, Jeff Kempson.

Kempson as a young girl. She lived in and around Griffin her entire life. "Dayna started walking when she was seven and a half months old, and Dayna didn't stop," Kempson's mother, Lucretia Kempson told "20/20" correspondent Jim Avila.

On July 17, 2010, Kempson died in a crash just outside Griffin.

The inside of Kempson's car, after the crash, is pictured. At the scene of the accident, firefighter Terrence Reid took a video with his cell phone of Kempson's dead body. To her family's horror, the video went viral. "We don't know if, if two hundred people have this video or if ten thousand people have this video," Jeff Kempson told "20/20."

Terrence Reid, a nine-year veteran of the Spalding County Fire Department, was fired after admitting he took the video of Dayna Kempson. According to an investigative report, Reid said he took the video because he "had never seen an event like that before."

Kempson's parents had the video pulled off of YouTube but where it spread from there is anyone's guess. They are now trying to get a law passed that would prohibit first responders from using cell phone and other devices to take unauthorized pictures and videos of crash scenes and victims.
