It's one thing to invent a great product; it's another to sell it -- and that's where A.J. Khubani, CEO of Telebrands, comes in.

With an infomercial empire approaching a billion dollars in value, Khubani knows a thing or two about selling unique products.

"I think one of the first things that makes me like a product is if it makes mesmile," Khubani said. "You know, if it makes me smile, I think it has potential."

"20/20" was given an inside look look at the nerve-wracking process where inventors get just five minutes to try to impress Khubani for the chance to win a contract worth as much as a million dollars.
