— -- A cold front will be dipping south through Florida on Sunday, bringing the threat of showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds to Miami.

The Miami Dolphins play the Dallas Cowboys at 1 p.m. at SunLife Stadium in Miami Gardens. Winds could gust over 20 mph, and there's lots of wet weather in the forecast. That means the Dolphins running back Lamar Miller could get some extra work. The Dallas defense hasn’t done much to stop the run, plus with the rain and wind, he could have a big game ahead of him. Miller has already scored five touchdowns in the last five games.

Tony Romo finally returns this week and is expected to be more determined than ever to come back and break the Cowboys’ seven-game losing streak. Despite the weather, play him along with one of his favorite targets, Dez Bryant, who is also much healthier and excited to play with Romo back in the game. Also, the Dolphins secondary have allowed at least one touchdown to wideouts each game.

Let’s not forget Darren McFadden, he’s a solid RB2 this week -- remember that rain and wind? Conditions are very unfavorable for throwing the ball in Miami on Sunday, so the offense might lean on him a bit more, and he is expected to have a better game than last week.

Parts of the Midwest are expecting their first big winter storm of the season. Over 8 inches of snow is possible from Nebraska to Michigan, and Chicago is also under a Winter Storm Warning. The Chicago metro area is expected to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow by Saturday, and frigid temperatures are in the forecast for Sunday. The Chicago Bears play the Denver Broncos at Soldier Field on Sunday at 1 p.m., with temperatures only in the 20s, and wind chills in the teens. Winds could also gust near 20 mph throughout the game.

The Bears are loaded with injuries from Alshon Jeffery to Matt Forte, but Jeremy Langford has been unstoppable, taking over the starting RB position the past two weekends. As long as Forte remains out, he is a solid play. Don’t forget that it will be absolutely freezing out there, with wind also a factor, which means more drops and fewer completions. That’s why the Broncos really need to get their running game going, as well. Ronnie Hillman could see a few more carries, it seems as though he has taken over the starting spot from C.J. Anderson.

Peyton Manning has been ruled out, so between that and the unfavorable weather, it could be a rough start for both Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders this week. We will have to see how Brock Osweiler does on his first career start as quarterback. Brock grew up in Kalispell, Montana, so he is conditioned to play in cold weather, and with Peyton not playing his usual self all season, a quarterback this game could be just want the Broncos need.
