Dec. 14, 2009 — -- Disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich made more than a few headlines this year as he appeared on national television hawking his new memoir "The Governor" after being indicted by a federal grand jury on corruption charges, including the charge that he tried to sell President Obama's vacant Senate seat.

After the corruption scandal led to Blagojevich's impeachment and removal from office by the Illinois Senate in Jan. 2009, he tried to appear on NBC's reality show "I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here," but a federal judge refused to let him leave the country. His wife Patti Blagojevich took his spot and jetted off to the backwoods of Costa Rica to rough it in front of television cameras.

The former governor claims he did nothing wrong and will be vindicated.
