— -- Today is National Coffee Day, which means coffee lovers across the nation can score great deals on their cup of joe -- even getting it for free in many cases.

Coffee chains have taken to social media to tell customers how they are giving away as much java as possible.

Dunkin' Donuts is giving away hot or iced medium Dark Roast coffees.

Wawa is celebrating with free coffee for everyone.

Peet’s Coffee & Tea is offering a free small cup of Peet’s Major Dickason Blend with the purchase of any baked good, oatmeal, or other food item.

Krispy Kreme is giving away a free glazed doughnut in addition to a free small coffee today.

Sheetz is giving away a limited number of mugs at their stores.

Even office supply store Staples is getting in on the action, offering a coffee prize pack for the best #OfficeMugShot.

Customers at convenience store chain Cumberland Farms can get a free hot or iced coffee in any size all day today by texting FREECOFFEE to 33733, and they'll instantly receive a coupon to be redeemed today.

Instead of giving out free coffee to customers, Starbucks said it wants to honor the farmers and families that bring you your morning cup and remind coffee fans that coffee comes from trees. Starting today, Starbucks will plant a coffee tree for every bag of coffee purchased in participating stores through 2016.

At Caribou Coffee, buy a cup of Amy’s Blend, and the company will donate a cup to the nurses and families in cancer centers nationwide.
