Photographer <a href="http://WWW.SEPHLAWLESS.COM"target="external">Seph Lawless</a> recently returned to the abandoned Ohio mall that is the subject of his book, <a href="http://sephlawless.com/black-friday-2014"target="external">"Black Friday"</a> to find that snow had begun to fall through the broken skylights.

Photographer Seph Lawless recently returned to the abandoned Ohio mall that is the subject of his book, "Black Friday" to find that snow had begun to fall through the broken skylights.

"The snow began to fall through the broken skylights and as I looked up snow flakes gently fell upon my face. It was then I realized I was inside a gigantic make believe snow globe. I prefer absurdity over reason, because it's more honest," Lawless says.

'Recently, I returned to the mall I grew up in to find it completely abandoned and covered in snow. It was eerily quite and beautiful as if the world had ended," Lawless says.

The book explores two malls in Ohio, Rolling Acres and Randall Park. Both opened in the mid-1970s, and are set to be demolished in 2014.

"I wanted Americans to see what was happening to their country from the comfort of their suburban homes and smart phones." Seph Lawless says. In addition to using social media to showcase his images, the photographer states that, "'most Americans never read a book after they graduate high school, so I came out with a photo book."
