Musician Lauryn Hill, 37, faces sentencing in New Jersey on May 6, 2013. She was charged with failing to file tax returns from 2005 to 2007 and has paid $50,000 of more than $500,000 she owes. Hill pled guilty in U.S. District Court in Newark in June 2012. She faces up to a year in prison but her attorney is seeking probation for her, the Associated Press reports.

Actor Stephen Baldwin was arrested on Dec. 6 for failing to file New York State tax returns from 2008 to 2010. He was arraigned in court, released, and returned to court March 2013. Baldwin pled guilty in a plea deal that clears his record if he pays $300,000 within a year.

Actor Wesley Snipes, known for his film roles in Blade and White Men Can't Jump, was released from prison on April 2 into house arrest. He received a three-year sentence behind bars in December 2010 for not filing returns while earning over $14 million between 1999 and 2001. His house arrest is expected to last until July 19, 2013.

Actor Nicolas Cage owes about $6 million to the IRS after paying a settlement of $6.25 million in April 2012, E! News reported. The payment settlement was related to taxes owed on 2007 earnings.

Television personality Kelly Osbourne owed over $34,700 in back taxes from 2009 to the state of California, according to documents obtained by TMZ in March 2011. The next week, Osbourne tweeted: "You can't rely on anyone but yourself. You have to be on top of your own business affairs. My fault........lesson learned."
