Joe Jonas And Other Celebrities Who've Broken Down Over Breakups

As if tweens around the planet didn't already swoon at the mere mention of the Jonas brothers, Joe Jonas had to make their pitter-pattering hearts go into early palpitations by crying in front of an arena of fans because of his breakup with Camilla Belle.

The middle Jonas brother broke into sobs Monday night while playing a show in Detroit and it was projected for all to see on the megatron. The commentary of "OH MY GOD he's crying!!!" by the two Jonas fanatics in the background of this video is to die for.

Whether this is a monumental embarrassment for Joe Jonas or his great scheme to win Camilla back, it's not the first time a celeb has broken down in the public eye after a breakup. Here are a few more examples of celebs who couldn't hold it together after being dumped:

In April, post-breakup with Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan was spotted by eyewitnesses at a night club in L.A. having a meltdown. The struggling actress "started the evening at h.wood sitting on a couch and texting. Suddenly she began crying. She finally put down her phone and that's when the partying began." And like any totally normal breakup, Lindsay went through this whole debacle with mother, Dina, at her side, watching her drink away her blues.

In the summer of 2007, after a split from actress Kate Hudson, funnyman Owen Wilson reached his lowest point when he attempted suicide. The suicide attempt was caused by a myriad of reasons, but the separation from Hudson was believed to be one factor. Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful and Wilson turned his life around. He even went on to date Hudson once more before breaking up for good.

This list would not be complete without mention of the queen of public meltdowns, Britney Spears. In 2007, Spears did just about every crazy thing a woman going through a divorce could do. She attacked paparazzi, shaved her head, took a trip to rehab, and even committed a hit-and-run. Britney's breakup from K-Fed showed the public a completely different persona of the star than anyone had known before.
