Backstage Pass With Miranda Lambert: Country Superstar Dishes on Married Life, Must-Haves On Tour, New Album

July 8, 2011— -- Grammy Award winning country music superstar Miranda Lambert brought the house down Friday morning – performing at Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series in NYC's Central Park. After her sizzling performance, Miranda gave GMA's Lara Spencer the inside scoop on her married life to country music star Blake Shelton, her must have's on tour, and her new musical group "Pistol Annie's."

It has been a very busy year for Miranda. This past May she married fellow country music star Blake Shelton, won Female Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, is currently on tour, and now has two albums coming out later this year.

The first album is with her brand new group "Pistol Annie's," starring Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. The group performed at the Summer Concert Series with their brand new single "Hell on Heels." The album will hit stores on August 23rd.

"We write together -- we wrote every song on this album together. I think people will really love it," Lambert said. "It's really such a cool departure for me to get to perform and it not be all about me. It's about our band – It's about all three girls ... having the girls has really been such an awesome experience."

Lambert will also be releasing her fourth studio album on November 1, 2011 entitled "Four The Record." "I'm so excited ... It's definitely got some flair ... It's got a little of everything on it, but it's still true to me," Lambert said. With her last album "Revolution" Lambert said she stepped out of the box and did something different. "With this new album I had to push the envelope more."

What's the best part of married life for Miranda Lambert?

Lambert and Shelton got married on May 14 and since their wedding day they have both been busy on the road with their careers. "It's a good busy -- we are really happy. When we see each other we have so much to talk about. I think that is what keeps it fresh." Lambert also added: "I feel secure, you know? He has my back no matter what."
