Jan. 12, 2014 -- Just like last year, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey had the audience at the Golden Globes awards ceremony in stitches with their hilarious monologue.

True to their word, they weren't mean just to be mean, but they did poke fun at their fellow actors.

Golden Globes Picks and Predictions

While addressing nominee Matt Damon, Poehler said, "On any other night, in any other room you would be a big deal. Tonight, don't take this the wrong way, you're basically a garbage person."

When it came time to address Meryl Streep, Fey said that the nominee's role in "August: Osage County" was proof "there are still great parts in Hollywood for Meryl Streeps over 60."

In keeping with the feminist theme of the monologue, Fey also poked fun at Matthew McConaughey, who famously lost weight for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club."

Complete Winners' List 2014

"Matthew McConaughey did amazing work this year," she said. "For his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club,' he lost 45 lbs, or what actresses call, 'being in a movie.'"

But perhaps the biggest laugh came at the expense of George Clooney, who stars in the nominated film, "Gravity."

"It's the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age," Fey said.
