— -- Charlie Sheen reportedly had a bad case of "food poisoning" and spent much of Monday night in the hospital.

"It was clams, bad clams," the 49-year-old actor's rep, Jeff Ballard, told People magazine. "Nothing too exciting."

The "Anger Management" star had seafood pasta and felt sick later Monday night.

"Just to be on the safe side, he went to the hospital," Ballard said. "They checked him out, hydrated him and sent him on his way. He was back home in bed 90 minutes later."

Ballard did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.

Sheen later was tweeting to LeBron James Tuesday night before the Cavs' big win in an NBA Finals game.
