— -- Many actresses would have jumped at the chance to play Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shades of Grey."

However, Emilia Clarke said that after two meetings with the director, she decided it wasn't for her.

"I'd done nudity before and was concerned with being labeled for doing it again," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "No regrets."

Clarke, 28, who stars as Daenerys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones" has gone nude plenty of times in the HBO series, as well as on stage, when she played Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." In that situation, the publication reported, several audience members documented the moment she undressed on their phones.

"That was bonkers!" she noted.

Still, in spite of her growing fame, Clarke still enjoys relative anonymity in public. Not only is this helpful in her personal life, of which she's deeply protective, but also professionally.

"I get to play other roles without the comparison of being Daenerys, which I think is so lucky," she explained.
