How Eric Stonestreet Spoils His Parents
The "Modern Family" star opens up about their close-knit relationship.
— -- Eric Stonestreet lives in California now, but he hasn't forgotten his Midwestern roots.
Now a star on "Modern Family," he enjoys spoiling his parents when he can.
"[I enjoy] just having them out and giving them a comfortable place to stay," he told ABC News. "They don't need anything but ... [I] give them a first class trip all the way out and make sure they're comfortable and have everything they want."
However, recently, his mother, who lives in Kansas, has another reason to jet to L.A.: She filmed a Swiffer commercial with Stonestreet, who is a spokesman for the product.

"She was nervous and excited," he said. "She'd never worked with me before. She's never done anything like that before!"
When shooting ended, she extended her trip a bit and got to "sit by the pool and relax."
"Both my mom and dad have been able to participate in the more fun aspects of my life in the past few years," he said. "It's fun."
