Playboy's Hugh Hefner Gets Engaged to Playmate
Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner announces engagement to Crystal Harris.
Dec. 26, 2010— -- Playboy founder and magazine icon Hugh Hefner announced his engagement to Playmate Crystal Harris this weekend.
"After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts," wrote Hefner on his twitter account. "I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve."
The 84-year-old wrote that Harris burst into tears when given the ring, and later he clarified that the ring wasn't just a Christmas gift: "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn't mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all."
This is the third marriage for Hefner, who divorced Mildred Williams in 1959, and Playmate Kimberley Conrad in 2009.
Crystal Harris, 24, was December 2009's Playboy Playmate. According to her E! reality show profile for "The Girls Next Door," Harris is an animal rights advocate who loves spending time with her dog Charlie.
