Joe Zee Is Engaged to Rob Younkers

— -- Stylist Joe Zee is engaged to his longtime love Rob Younkers.

The editor-in-chief of Yahoo Style and FABLife host proposed to Younkers, a professor at Parsons School of Design, while the couple was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last week.

Younkers posted a photo to his Instagram page of the couple on Friday, confirming the engagement.

"#HeAsked and #ISaidYes," Younkers captioned the photo. "Say hi to my fiancé @mrjoezee."

Zee told People magazine that he knew that Younkers was the one for him from the very beginning of their relationship.

"I knew I was going to marry Rob since our first date. He's a kind, generous, gracious and caring human being and he inspires me to be a better person every day," Zee said. "When you dream your entire life about getting married and never thought it would be possible in your lifetime, but now that it is and I've found my soulmate, I knew I wanted to make it official."

Zee, 47, revealed that he proposed to Younkers, 37 on his birthday, and described it as the "perfect moment."

"I just wanted to wait for the perfect moment before I popped the question," Zee said. "And that perfect moment was my birthday under the stars at one of our favorite places. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift."

Younkers said that the proposal was "magical."

"Joe asking me to marry him was the most surreal and romantic moment I have ever experienced," Younkers said. "The beach in Cabos, under a full moon, then slow dancing with the ocean waves in the background ... it was magical."
