— -- New dad Josh Duhamel is pulling out all the stops when it comes to this parenting thing.

The "Battle Creek" star stopped by "Live! with Kelly and Michael" today, where he chatted about potty training his 1-year-old son, Axl.

"I don't know if this is, like, bad parenting on my part, but we're like, 'OK, I'm gonna go pee pee' and then he runs in there and he loves to watch," Duhamel said.

Duhamel told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that he and his wife, Fergie, bought Axl a potty of his own.

"And then you turn your head for one second and he's peeing on the carpet over here," he said.

Ripa gave the 42-year-old actor some friendly advice on potty training, telling Duhamel, "Let them lead the way."

Strahan chimed in: "Just don't buy expensive carpets yet."

Duhamel's new show, "Battle Creek," premieres this March on CBS.
