Justin Bieber's Wax Statue Ruined by Fans Fondling It
Girls just can't keep their hands off the Biebs.
Feb. 12, 2014 — -- When you can't have the real thing, is a wax statue is the next-best option?
Seems like the case for Justin Bieber fans.
Madame Tussaud's New York location removed the wax figure of the troubled 19-year-old pop star after fans kept groping it.
Bieber's wax figure at the establishment, old-school Bieber before the new hair and tattoos, had no rope, so anyone could go up to it and touch.
Inside Justin Bieber's Latest Troubles
The New York Post and E! both reported that "hordes of girls" have been grabbing the statue.
Madame Tussaud's in New York did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
All the apparent fondling has led to the statue getting damaged and warped.
General manager Bret Pidgeon told The Post that a new, grown-up Bieber would eventually, hopefully, replace this one.

He was arrested for alleged DUI a couple weeks back in Miami and then, more recently, turned himself in to Toronto police in connection with an alleged assault earlier this week.
His plane was also searched for drugs over a week ago when he came to New York for the Super Bowl. And then there's the ongoing egging incident that's being investigate in Los Angeles.
