Kelly Ripa Announces 'Live' Co-Host News
See what she revealed on the show.
— -- Kelly Ripa announced on today's "Live" that her new co-host will be ... you?
"Now you have the chance to prove it," Ripa said of reading online and on social media how easy her job is.
Essentially, fans will get the chance, through "Live With Kelly & You," to be her co-host for the day. Fans have until Sept. 20 to submit on the "Live" site.
The big news comes a day after she teased her fans by saying a "big announcement" was coming. The co-hosting news wasn't what fans had expected; that she was revealing her new celebrity co-host.

Ripa has been hosting "Live" alongside the likes of guests Christian Slater, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen since former co-host Michael Strahan made his full-time move to "Good Morning America." His last day on "Live" was May 13 and he started on "GMA" this past week.
The news broke in April that Strahan would be moving to "GMA" and the NFL Hall of Famer said he was excited about the "opportunity to be able to bring unique stories and voices to the audience."
Strahan, a few days later, joked that he wasn’t going anywhere, still at ABC, and that he's always open to coming back and guest-hosting "Live" with Ripa.
"To all our viewers ... you still continued to give us your eyeballs and watch this show," he said in April. "Thank you guys ... I can't ask for better fans."
