Kim Kardashian Meets the Prime Minister of Armenia

— -- Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe took a trip to Armenia and, on Thursday, met the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

The visit was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

"The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the Kardashian family’s contribution to the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and welcomed their visit on the threshold of the Armenian Genocide centennial," according to the public radio of Armenia.

The report continued, "The Kardashians said they will continue to actively struggle for the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and emphasized the importance of the unity of all Armenians."

Joining the Kardashians, was Kim's husbandKanye West and their daughter North.

"Armenia we are here!!!!! We are so grateful to be here & start this journey of a lifetime! Thank you to everyone who greeted us! I can't wait to explore our country and have some yummy food! #MyDadAndGrandParentsWouldBeSoProud," Kardashian, 34, wrote Wednesday on Instagram.

Next, she shared a picture of her husband, West, 37, and daughter North, 1.

"My husband and daughter came to Armenia as well to see my heritage and learn about my ancestors! My cousins came along too! So excited I can't sleep," she wrote.

Kim Kardashian's sister Khloe Kardashian, 30, also was on the trip.

On Thursday morning, she wrote, "Visiting the Mother Armenia statue today in Yerevan. The Mother Armenia statue symbolizes peace through strength. It can remind viewers of some of the prominent female figures in Armenian history. Who took up arms to help their husbands in their clashes with Turkish troops and Kurdish irregulars. I am woman hear me roar! Blessed to be here!!!"

She also wrote, "The love and welcoming to Armenia has been overwhelmingly beautiful!!! I wholeheartedly, can't believe all of you Angels who are outside our hotel with flowers and smiles. Im incredibly eager to get some sleep and see Armenia in the day light! I hope I'm able to sleep. I'm so excited to be here!!"

And finally, Khloe packed some medication for the long trip.

"OCD hits hard when I travel! Vitamin party!!!!" she posted.
