MTV Movie Awards: What to Expect From the Show

Hosted by Amy Schumer, the award show will air tonight.

— -- It's almost time for one of MTV's biggest nights of the year.

The 2015 MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Amy Schumer, will air live tonight from Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET.

Robert Downey Jr. will be on hand to accept the Generation Award in recognition of his work in the film industry. His "Avengers: Age of Ultron" co-stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner will present the award.

A new clip of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will premiere during the telecast.

Kevin Hart will receive the Comedic Genius Award, while Shailene Woodley will be honored with the MTV Trailblazer Award.

Viewers can still vote on the award categories on MTV.com. "Guardians of the Galaxy," "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Neighbors" each have a leading seven nominations.

The lineup of performers for the MTV Movie Awards includes Charli XCX and Fall Out Boy.
