Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent Share 'Biggest Gift'
First-time fathers share first photo of daughter Poppy.
— -- Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are enjoying first-time fatherhood and their baby girl, whom they called their "biggest gift."
The new dads shared the first photo of their daughter, Poppy Brent-Berkus, on Instagram Sunday.
"Perspective. Our daughter continues to be the biggest gift, the most spectacular teacher," Brent, Rachel Zoe's former assistant wrote alongside the photo.
The couple welcomed a daughter via a surrogate on March 23.
"Jeremiah & I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Poppy Brent-Berkus, born via surrogate on March 23, 2015," Berkus wrote on his Facebook page. "We are so excited to finally be a family of 3!"
The 43-year-old interior designer, 43, and Brent announced last September that they were expecting a baby. Four months before that, they were married in New York City.
"As anyone with a newborn knows, we have our work cut out for us but couldn't be happier to be embarking on this life changing journey that is parenthood," the couple added. "Thank you all for your well wishes and support."
