How Nick Lachey Keeps His Marriage Hot

Feb. 12, 2014 -- Nick Lachey married Vanessa Minnillo in 2011, and since then, they've had a son, Camden.

And even though the new host of VH1's Big Morning Buzz (as of March 3) may still be a relative newlywed, he works to make sure his marriage stays interesting.

"You always have to keep it spontaneous -- surprise dinners, flowers, concerts," he told ABC News. "They all make a difference."

However, Lachey, who just turned 40, also values stability. Not only does he collaborate professionally with his wife (see their line of customizable Treat Valentine's Day cards below), but he spends one-on-one time with her as often as he can.

"Our time together is after we put Camden down for the night," he said. "So much of the rest of our day is dedicated to him and work, but we always make sure to share a glass of wine and some time together at the end of our day."

But this Valentine's Day, they'll be sipping more than one glass of wine. Lachey said that they're planning to leave Camden with a babysitter and spend a romantic weekend alone.

"We are going to celebrate this year by taking a little romantic getaway together," he revealed. "Always nice to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy each other.
