Sarah Jessica Parker Shares Her Ultimate Fashion Rule

Jan. 8, 2014 -- Sarah Jessica Parker is known for her adventurous style, but really, she doesn't necessarily see herself as a trend setter.
Why? Because she doesn't ascribe to any sort of fashion rule book.
"People should dress the way they want. Any rules for age or shape are silly," she told InStyle in its February 2014 issue, on stands Jan. 10. "If you walk out the door feeling good about yourself, that's what counts."

That type of relaxed thinking seems to suit Parker, 48, who is constantly on the go with her three young children.

"It's complicated when you're working crazy hours. But the kids are a joy, even when they're not," she said. "I had one child only for nearly seven years and thought I had the blueprint. Then these girls came and not only were they girls, but they were as different from one another as they could possibly be -- physically, emotionally, disposition-wise -- probably politically."
Still, the former "Sex and the City" star is grateful to still be working, and is open to a third movie based on the series.
"A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," said Parker. "But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn't a decision that can wait forever. I don't want to have to wear muumuus!"
