Aug. 15, 2012— -- intro: The show must and does go on, as country singer Scotty McCreery learned all too well after falling from a stage during a concert in New York last week.

The "American Idol" winner was opening for Brad Paisley last Friday when he tumbled into the crowd during his rendition of Travis Tritt's "T-R-O-U-B-L-E."

Fortunately the only thing bruised was McCreery's ego. The 18-year-old singer did not miss a beat, hopping back up on stage to continue the show.

He even posted video of his on-stage mishap on Twitter and joked that Paisley was to blame for the fall, tweeting, "He narrowed up the stage on me for my last song."

Scotty later tweeted, "@BradPaisley didn't really prank me tonight y'all! Hahah. I just drifted on off the stage. Guess I wouldn't make a good Olympic balance beamer…"

For the tour's next gig, Paisley, a known prankster, seized on McCreery's embarrassing moment, marking the stage with orange traffic cones and yellow tape to prevent a repeat accident.

McCreery posted a picture with the tweet, "@BradPaisley wanted me to be extra cautious... Thanks Brad!"

Gaga briefly left the stage before returning to perform another 16 songs, telling the audience, "I want to apologize, I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. Gaga, who was performing "Judas," briefly staggered and rubbed her head before walking off the stage. She was back a short time later. Tara Savelo, the singer's make-up artist, tweeted about the incident: "Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I'm taking care of her. Numerous victims of the stage collapse filed a massive civil lawsuit on Nov. 22 claiming Sugarland and the companies involved with the construction of the stage were negligent and contributed to the accident. Sugarland has denied all accusations against the band, saying it had nothing to do with the stage's construction. In a statement to ABC News in February, Sugarland's manager Gail Gellman said, "Sadly when a tragedy occurs, people want to point fingers and try to sensationalize the disaster. The single most important thing to Sugarland, are their fans."media: 16542327
