Actor John Voight and daughter Angelina Jolie are talking again after a seven-year estrangement. Voight was photographed with Jolie, her boyfriend Brad Pitt and their six children in Venice, Italy, Feb. 20, 2010. Jolie stopped speaking to Voight in 2001 after he appeared on "Access Hollywood" and pleaded for her to seek help for her "serious mental problems." Jolie response was to have "Voight" legally removed from her last name. "My father and I don't speak. I don't believe that somebody's family becomes their blood. Because my son's adopted, and families are earned," said Jolie. Last year, Voight told Us Weekly magazine that he and Jolie were "in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that's the most important thing," he said.

Candy and Tori Spelling's relationship took a turn for the worse in 2006, following the death of TV producer Aaron Spelling, who was Tori's dad and Candy's husband. In an interview with Us Weekly magazine, Tori accused Candy of not spending enough time with her ailing husband, not informing her of her father's death and afterward leaving her name off the family statement. Candy responded, calling the comments "mean spirited and hurtful." In 2009, the two decided to reconcile. "We both decided to [communicate] privately, so I know that everyone will respect that because it kind of got out of hand when it wasn't the other way," Candy told Us Weekly.

Lindsay Lohan's tumultuous relationship with her father, Michael Lohan, continues. On her Twitter account, Lohan accused her father of abusing her mother, Dina. Lohan also recently told the British Sun that her father introduced her to cocaine, saying, "I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid, and wanted to see what it was like." In what he called an attempt to save his daughter, her father released several taped conversations he had with his distressed daughter to the media. He has also called her a "cutter." Lohan responded on Twitter: "It's so sad that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven't had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. in years. That is the truth."

Jennifer Aniston's relationship with her mother, Nancy Dow, became strained when Dow wrote a book about their relationship, "From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir." Dow was not invited to Aniston's wedding to Brad Pitt in 1999. After Aniston and Pitt divorced, she and her mother reconciled in 2005. Aniston spoke to ABC News' "Good Morning America" about the reconciliation, saying, "It's been really nice. … For us it's … it was the time, and it was going to happen when it was supposed to happen. So this is good. It's baby steps."

When Mackenzie Phillips released her book, "High on Arrival," in 2009, in which she claimed she'd had a sexual relationship with her father, John Phillips, she surprised her father's fans as well as her family. Phillips' mother, Michelle, accused the actress of lying to promote the book. "Mackenzie's drug addiction for 35 years has been the result of many unpleasant experiences. Whether her relationship with her father is delusional or not, it is an unfortunate circumstance and very hurtful for our entire family," she said. Her sister Bijou released a statement, saying, "When I was 13, Mackenzie told me that she had a consensual sexual relationship with our father... I didn't know what to believe and it didn't help that shortly thereafter Mackenzie told me it didn't happen. … "

Julia Roberts and her brother, Eric Roberts, became estranged when Julia took Eric's ex-girlfriend Kelly Cunningham's side in the couple's custody battle over daughter ,Emma, in 1993. The brother-sister duo eventually reconciled. Eric also accused Julia on Howard Stern's television show of not helping him, saying, "I got her first role for her, but she's turned her back on me for years." Eric visited Julia in the hospital in 2004 after she gave birth to twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel. "We all dropped a couple of tears and everything is back on track," Eric told People magazine.

Ireland Baldwin was caught between her parents, Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, during their 2007 breakup. Alec took out his frustration on Ireland, then 11 years old, calling her a "rude, thoughtless little pig" in a phone message. "I don't give a damn that you're 12 years old or 11 years old, or that you are a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do as far as I am concerned." All seemed to be forgiven when Ireland accompanied her father to the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Griffin O'Neal's battle with his father, Ryan O'Neal, has gone on for years. Griffin hasn't spoken to his father since a notorious incident in 2007, when Ryan O'Neal allegedly fired a gun during an argument at a 60th birthday party for O'Neal's late girlfriend, Farrah Fawcett. Criminal charges were dropped. Speaking about the incident to "Inside Edition," Griffin said, "He shot the gun … at me!" When asked if he really believed that his son was trying to shoot him, he said, "I don't know. He was a bad shot if he was because he missed." Griffin was barred from Fawcett's funeral in 2009.

Drew Barrymore's early exposure to partying was because of her mother, Jaid, who took her 13-year-old daughter to nightclubs. Barrymore's experience with the adult world led to drug experimentation and two visits to rehab. At age 15, Barrymore gained legal emancipation from her mother. "My mom and I have yet to work it out," Drew recently told In Style magazine. 'I don't talk about it because … how do you talk about something you're confused about?"
