Aug. 24 -- Harrison Ford will be living alone on the range. His wife of 18 years is filing for legal separation, citing irreconcilable differences.

The Indiana Jones star and screenwriter Melissa Mathison Ford met on the set of Apocalypse Now and share two children, ages 14 and 11.

Mathison Ford is asking for joint custody, according to the Los Angeles Superior Courtpetition. No other details were forthcoming.

"The only statement they have is that Melissa filed for separation from Harrison and the couple remain amicable," Ford's agent, Patricia McQueeney, told The Associated Press.

Although Ford is among the most bankable stars in Hollywood, he chose to live away from the studio town, preferring a quieter life with his family in Wyoming. Mathison Ford is known for writing E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, among other screenplays.

The pair separated last November amid reports that Ford had been seen with actress Lara Flynn Boyle. The Fords reconciled a few months later, but apparently weren't able to work out their differences.

Kidman's Guest Recording Spot

Nicole Kidman warmed up her singing pipes in Moulin Rouge, and she's still crooning.

She's recorded a duet with English star Robbie Williams for his upcoming release Swing While You're Winning.

According to The Associated Press, they are performing the Frank and Nancy Sinatra tune "Something Stupid." Let's hope that's not what critics will say about Kidman's attempts at pop stardom.
