August 16 -- A mini One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest reunion is brewing. Michael Douglas, who produced the Oscar-sweeping 1975 film, is hoping to work again with Cuckoo's Nest director Milos Forman.

Douglas is developing a film adaptation of the Arthur Miller play The Ride Down Mount Morgan in which he plans to star. A directing deal has been offered to Forman, who has since helmed Man on the Moon and The People vs. Larry Flynt, according to Variety. There is, however, no word of any plans to rope, say, Cuckoo's Nest star Jack Nicholson into the proceedings.

The marital satire Mount Morgan premiered in 1991 on the London stage. It later played at the New York Public Theater before moving to Broadway, where Patrick Stewart played the lead. It received a Tony nomination for best play in 2000.

Douglas, whose thriller Don't Say a Word opens in September, is developing the project with Michael Ovitz's Artists Production Group and its French partner, StudioCanal.
