May 15 -- Matchbox Twenty recently wrapped an extensive North American arena tour but now the band is giving fans a chance to hear its hits outside, with an lengthy tour of amphitheaters kicking off July 31 in Fargo, N.D.

Backing Rob Thomas and his popular rock act will be Train, which recently released its sophomore LP, Drops of Jupiter.

Through August the tour will move from the Midwest to the East Coast, before crossing to the West Coast in September, hitting a total of 30 cities.
