March 22 -- Elisabeth Shue and Amy Brenneman were living parallel lives this week, as both award-winning actresses gave birth to daughters, their publicist announced.

On Monday, Shue gave birth to a girl named Stella. The 37-year-old star and her director husband, Davis Guggenheim, also have a 3-year-old son, Miles.

Earlier this month, a very pregnant Shue appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to promote her new TV movie, Amy and Isabelle, an ABC drama about the strains of motherhood.

Judging Amy star Brenneman, 36, delivered her first child Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital. She and her husband, TV director Brad Silberling, have named the baby girl Charlotte.

The pair's publicist told Reuters that both moms and their babies are doing fine.
