January 10 -- Bob Dylan, a Surprise Soprano

His famous voice is far from soprano, and he's no gun-toting thug but folk rocker Bob Dylan has recorded a tune for the Sopranos 2 soundtrack, which is due out March 20, according to the Billboard Bulletin. Dylan's contribution will be a cover of Dean Martin's "Return to Me," a No. 4 hit in 1958. The first soundtrack for The Sopranos, an HBO television drama about a Mafia family, was released in 1999, also featured a Dylan song "Gotta Serve Somebody" which was taken from 1979's Slow Train Comin'.

Brawling Boy Band Members Go to Court

Two members of boy band 5ive will face assault charges in a Dublin, Ireland, court on March 3, according to the BBC. Ritchie Neville, 21, and Jason Brown, 23, were arrested last month in the Palace Bar in Fleet Street, where their spokesman said they had been drinking with members of their touring party. The group, which recorded a cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You," failed to spread its success Stateside, despite scoring a 1998 radio hit, "When the Lights Go Out."

David Bowie, Pavarotti Split From War Child U.K. Foundation

David Bowie and opera star Luciano Pavarotti have stepped down from their roles as patrons of the charitable War Child U.K. foundation, in the wake of reports of financial mismanagement. The high-profile organization, which raises money for children in war-torn countries, was accused of accepting bribes and spending excessively in a report in newspaper The Guardian. Representatives for War Child U.K. told the BBC that the accusations were old and were dealt with years before. In 1995, artists such as the Stone Roses, Radiohead, the Charlatans U.K., and Noel Gallagher recorded songs for a War Child compilation, Help, which benefited children in Bosnia.
