Spy Claims to Have Tape of Douglas Wedding

November 21 -- Despite heavy layers of security that could have made President Clinton jealous, a spy may have secretly videotaped the wedding of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas in New York Saturday and she's allegedly offering tabloids the chance to bid on the covert production.

A woman going by the name Yazmine Melendez reportedly called several celeb-oriented publications yesterday, telling them that her husband had shot two hours worth of video at the couple's pricey reception. According to the New York Daily News, Melendez said, "We're in the process of selling [the tape]."

Melendez's husband, David, said he'd been offered "six figures" for the supposed tape. He apparently sneaked in past the barricades, New York police officers, and deep security working the tight entryway at New York City's swank Plaza Hotel, where the rumored $2 million nuptials took place.

David told the Daily News that he was "working in another room" at the Plaza, which allowed him access to the guarded event. Zeta-Jones' rep acknowledged that she had heard the rumor that a tape of the wedding exists. "Nobody's seen it yet," she said, "but we are looking into it."

If the tape does indeed exist, it could be quite a deflation factor for both the newlyweds and the British magazine OK!, which is said to have paid upward of $1 million for exclusive rights to photograph the wedding.
