— -- Taylor Swift donated $50,000 to a baby who is battling cancer.

A GoFundMe fundraising page was created on Sept. 29 for 13-month-old Ayden, who was recently diagnosed with cancer after being in the Intensive Care Unit for over two weeks.

According to the fundraising page, Ayden's mother, Lindsey Licari, was let go from her job because she was missing work to stay by Ayden's side.

"They have a long road ahead of them and they need all of the prayers and support they can get," reads the description.

Swift donated to the baby's fundraising page after learning about Ayden's diagnosis from her backup dancer Kim "Toshi" Davidson.

Davidson is Ayden's uncle and has been spreading the word about his nephew's diagnosis on his Instagram account.

Swift left a message for the family, sending Ayden and his mother prayers and well wishes.

"Baby Ayden, I'm lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour," the star wrote. "All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor."

Thanks to Swift's donation, Ayden's GoFundMe page has now exceeded its original fundraising goal of $20,000.

Licari thanked Swift in a post on the fundraising page as well, saying that Swift's donation has "taken an enormous weight off [her] shoulders."

The mother also acknowledged that cancer is "a battle [Swift is] familiar with," referring to Swift's mother, Andrea, who was diagnosed with cancer last April.

"I will be forever grateful to Taylor and each and every person who made a contribution to Ayden's fight," Licari said.

Swift is currently on tour for her '1989' album.
