— -- intro: There were a ton of couples we just couldn't wait to see walk down the aisle this year.

And while Jennifer Aniston and Justin Justin Theroux along with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher opted to keep many details of their nuptials away from fans, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello let us all in on their festivities picture by picture.

From actors to musicians to comedians, 2015 was filled with love in Hollywood.

Click through to remember some of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year.

quicklist: 1title: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Therouxtext: Hollywood A-listers Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux took three whole years to get married and many of us wondered whether it would ever happen. Still, in August the two surprised many with a backyard wedding at their Bel-Air mansion.

Aniston, 46, and Theroux, 44, first met in 2008, but didn't begin dating until 2011 and were engaged a little more than a year later. And although Aniston was famously married to Brad Pitt previously, it was the first marriage for Theroux.

The "Leftovers" star told Robin Roberts that marriage was "fantastic. Something really does shift...in a wonderful way. And it sort of refocuses things."

quicklist: 2title: Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutchertext: Are they or aren't they? That's what many asked this year in regards to the marriage of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

The "That 70s Show" stars continued to play coy when asked if they were indeed married after getting engaged in 2014 and even after welcoming their daughter Wyatt Isabelle in October 2014.

And although Kunis, 32, and Kutcher, 37, still haven't publicly spoken about getting married, Kutcher's "Two and a Half Men" co-star Jon Cryer confirmed the two wed over the July 4th weekend. "It was beautiful and sweet and small," he told Extra. "They didn't decide to make it into a big production. It was beautiful and sincere."

This is Kutcher's second marriage, after famously being married to actress Demi Moore, splitting in 2013.

quicklist: 3title: Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiellotext: While many stars remained mum on their personal lives, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello didn't mind fans following their whirlwind romance.

It started when the Hollywood hunk begged for her number from her "Modern Family" co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, during the summer of 2014. Six months later the two were engaged and nearly a year later Vergara, 43, and Manganiello, 38, married in Palm Beach, Fla.

The two took to social media throughout the weekend, posting a ton of pictures of the event from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding and even the reception. And of course, once the hot couple made it to their honeymoon in Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos they shared several sexy photos.

It was Vergara's second marriage.

quicklist: 4title: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard text: Johnny Depp bulked tradition when he proposed to his now wife Amber Heard in January 2014. Although he gave Heard an engagement ring after a year of dating, eventually the bling ended up on his finger because the actor told David Letterman "it was too big for my girl."

After a brief engagement, the two walked down the aisle in February. Depp said they wasted no time getting married because they have a deep connection. "We connect on a lot of levels," Depp told E! News. "And she's kind of brilliant."

Heard said after the two wed it wasn't "a dramatic change. We've been together for a long time now, so it's been a fairly organic process."

Depp, 52, met Heard, 29, on the set of their 2011 film, "The Rum Diary." It's his second marriage.

quicklist: 5title: Cameron Diaz and Benji Maddentext: Cameron Diaz and rocker Benji Madden got married at the top of the year, in January, in a top secret wedding inside their home in Los Angeles.

The two only dated for eight months and got engaged and married in a matter of weeks. The couple was introduced by Madden's sister-in-law Nicole Richie.

So of course Richie was one of the celebrities to attend the 90-person affair along with Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Richie’s husband, Joel Madden. Joel's 6-year-old son, Sparrow, served as the ring bearer.

"We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends," the couple told People magazine at the time.

Later, Diaz, 43, and Madden, 36, were seen honeymooning at Jackson Hole in Wyoming's Shooting Star resort.

quicklist: 6title: Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Huntertext: When Benedict Cumberbatch got engaged to his now wife, Sophie Hunter, he went old school. No, he didn't tweet or even send a press release like most Hollywood couples. Instead, he announced his November 2014 engagement with an eight line notice in the births, deaths and marriages column of The Times of London.

"It's what I would have done if I wasn't sort of famous. It's what we do. It's a kind of traditional thing to do," Cumberbatch, 39, told People magazine.

The two eventually wed on the most romantic day of the year -- Valentine’s Day -- on England's Isle of Wight. Hunter, 37, who wore a custom Valentino gown for the occasion, was already carrying their first child when she walked down the aisle. Baby Christopher was later born in June.

Benedict and Hunter have been together since 2009, when they appeared in the film "Burlesque Fairytales."

quicklist: 7title: Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reedtext: "Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder and "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed seemed to have a whirlwind romance that went from first dates to engagement in just a matter of months.

Although the two started dating publicly in July 2014, in only six months the two were engaged.

And of course, the wedding wasn't too long after that. Reed, 27, and Somerhalder, 37, exchanged vows in April in Malibu, Calif. Reed wore a fishtail gown with lace sleeves, created by designer Claire Pettibone.

The two later honeymooned on the beaches of Mexico and Brazil.

Reed was previously married to singer, Paul McDonald.

quicklist: 8title: Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerrtext: Their relationship started off like a really good Country song: Country music singer Jason Aldean was photographed with "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr in 2012 while he was still with his wife of 12 years, Jessica Ussery.

The following year, Aldean, 38, and Ussery split and the singer got with Kerr, 27, months later.

But that didn’t stop the criticism from fans. He eventually told Billboard magazine last year, "It has been two years of this s***. Get over it, already!"

In March, the two seemed to put all of the flack behind them, marrying in Mexico. "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson officiated.

"This is the best day ever," Aldean told Us Weekly after the ceremony. "I've got my girl here, my friends, my family. It's the best day ever!"

quicklist: 9title: Billy Joel and Alexis Rodericktext: Billy Joel was in a "New York State of Mind" when he married Alexis Roderick in a surprise ceremony.

The two wed inside his Long Island, New York estate on July 4. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo officiated the ceremony. Actor Kevin James were among the guests, who had no idea they were attending a wedding and instead thought they were attending the 66-year-old singer's annual Fourth of July gathering.

Roderick, 33, was already expecting the couple's first child when she walked down the aisle. She gave birth to Della Rose a month later. The two began dating in 2009. This is Joel's fourth marriage.

quicklist: 10title: Tracy Morgan and Meghan Wollovertext: More than a year after he was severely injured in a car crash that nearly took his life, Tracy Morgan and longtime girlfriend Meghan Wollover wed in August.

Although the location wasn't disclosed, the former "30 Rock" star married Wollover, 28, in an intimate ceremony in front of family and friends, including the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Maven.

"After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life," Wollover told People magazine. "We have been through so much and our love is stronger for it."

In June 2014, Morgan, 46, was riding in a vehicle that was struck by a Walmart truck. He sustained broken bones and a brain injury, while one of his friends, comedian James McNair, was killed.

The two became engaged in early 2011. It’s Morgan’s second marriage.
