First Trailer For 'Allegiant' Released
The third installment in the "Divergent" series films will be released in 2016.
— -- “The Divergent Series: Allegiant,” starring Shailene Woodley, released its first teaser trailer today.
The clip refreshes the audience's memory with a quick summary of the first two films, “Divergent” and “The Divergent Series: Insurgent,” and gives viewers a sneak peek into the journey “beyond the wall” in the third.
After viewing the trailer, we have come up with the top five things we are looking forward to in the new film, including new territory, new friends (and foes) and of course, lots of action.
5 Things We’re Looking Forward To in "The Divergent Series: Allegiant"
1) Life “Beyond The Wall:” Tris and her rebel posse venture into completely new territory in the "Allegiant" trailer, and we are anxious to see what they find in the world “beyond the wall.”
2) Tris and Four’s Blossoming Romance: We’ve watched Tris and Four, played by Theo James, go from strangers to lovers throughout the “Divergent” series, and we can’t wait to see how their relationship continues to evolve in this new adventure.
3) Epic Action Scenes: Tris redefines girl power in the Divergent series as she kicks butt (literally) in order to save her society from a corrupt leader. Based on the trailer, there is going to be plenty of action in the new film.
4) A New Villain: In “The Divergent Series: Insurgent,” Tris’ foe Jeanine, played by Kate Winslet, was finally defeated, however the new trailer shows Tris meeting new character David, played by Jeff Daniels, who could be a new threat to our heroine.
5) New Alliances: Throughout the “Divergent” series, betrayal and backstabbing friends have made Tris wary of who she can and cannot trust. We can’t wait to see who really has Tris’ back during her mission in “The Divergent Series: Allegiant.”
“Allegiant” will be released in theaters on March 18, 2016.
