— -- On Tuesday nights, there's a show that your friends may be watching that they're not necessarily telling you about.

It's called "Younger" and it stars Sutton Foster.

Since its premiere in March, the show has been slowly growing its audience, with 657,000 people tuning in last week, according to TV By the Numbers. It has an impressive 96 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, too.

Created by Darren Star of "Sex and the City" fame, the series focuses on Liza (Foster), a 40-year-old divorcée who pretends to be 26 in order to get a job at a book publisher. Her roommate, Maggie (Debi Mazar), is in on the ruse, but her best friend at the office, Kelsey (Hilary Duff), is not, nor is her twenty-something tattoo artist boyfriend, Josh (Nico Tortorella). Or, rather, he wasn't, until the end of last week's episode.

The finale of season one will air tonight, and here are a few reasons to watch if you've never checked out the show.

1. Liza has revealed her true identity to Josh: Last week, after accidentally taking drugs at a party, Liza told Josh that she's actually 40, right after they exchanged "I love yous" for the first time. It's unclear how much he cares, but given the fact that he got a tattoo for her to celebrate her (fake) zodiac sign, he's probably at least a little angry. Plus, who else will he tell?

2. Kelsey's relationship is about to implode: Both Kelsey and her boyfriend, Thad, have been cheating on each other, and last week, they agreed to be monogamous. (Romantic!) However, immediately after that conversation, Todd ogled another woman. This will not end well.

3. Martha Plimpton will make an appearance: In a preview for the finale, Martha Plimpton, a character we've yet to meet, recognizes Liza at a restaurant. This would be no big deal, except there's another scene in which she calls Liza at work and says, "I knew it was you." Will she rat her out to her boss, Diana (Miriam Shor)? Who is she?

4. Is Liza getting fired? Liza's boss Diana ((Miriam Shor) has had it out for her for a few episodes now, warning that there are many other twenty-somethings who could do her job and that it's a bad idea to rise too quickly at the office. In a preview for this week's episode, things get more heated, but it's not clear why. Maybe Liza will get fired?

5. The Lauren-Maggie relationship is just starting: Kelsey's best friend Lauren (Molly Bernard) surprised everyone by kissing Maggie and declaring that she'd been wanting to for some time. It's about time Maggie had some excitement in her life and dealt with something other than Liza's drama! Will there be more to that kiss, though?

6. There's something going on with Liza and her boss's boss: The always-delightful Peter Hermann plays Charles, Liza's boss's boss, and it's clear there's some chemistry there. If things end with Josh, he'd be a suitable suitor.

7. There's going to be more: "Younger" was renewed for season two!
