Womenomics: Does Flextime Work?

June 2, 2009 — -- In a recent Monster survey, 89 percent of employees said flextime is key when evaluating a new job, but only about half of human resources professionals polled consider such programs important.

Flextime allows employees to work more flexible hours than a traditional work week schedule. For instance, an employee may choose to work four ten hours days instead of five eight hours days.

It's an issue tackled in Claire Shipman and Katty Kay's new book "Womenomics."
