Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy makes her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart
The youngster makes her first appearance as dad Jay-Z sets a career high.
It's official: The Carters are dominating the Billboard charts.
On Tuesday, Jay-Z notched his 100th solo appearance on the Hot 100 tally as the recently released "Mood 4 Eva," featuring wife Beyoncé, Childish Gambino and Oumou Sangare, debuted this week at No. 90. The single is lifted from "The Lion King"-inspired compilation album, "The Gift," which was executive produced by Bey.
This impressive feat now makes Jay the sixth artist in the chart's 60-year history to have earned triple-digital entries. The cast of "Glee" leads in Hot 100 appearances with 207, followed by Drake with 196, Lil Wayne with 163, Elvis Presley with 109 and Nicki Minaj with 103.
Out of his 100 solo entries, the music mogul has landed at No. 1 four times: first with "Heartbreaker," with Mariah Carey in 1999; then with "Crazy In Love" with Beyoncé in 2003; "Umbrella" with Rihanna in 2007; and, lastly, the Alicia Keys-assisted cut "Empire State of Mind," which spent five consecutive weeks at the top of the chart in 2009.
In the same week that Jay achieved his 100th career entry on the Hot 100, his daughter Blue Ivy Carter made her debut on the tally thanks to her feature on "The Gift" song "Brown Skin Girl." The single entered the chart at number 76 this week. Bey also lends her vocals to the empowering anthem, as does SAINT JHN and Wizkid.
Blue Ivy previously made her chart debut at less than a year old in 2012 when she was heard on Jay's "Glory" and billed as B.I.C. for Blue Ivy Carter. That song peaked at No. 63 on the Rap/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 23 on the Rap Song chart.
As previously reported, "The Gift" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week and accounts for Bey's second top 10 album of 2019, following "Homecoming: The Live Album."
