Alert the little paleontologist in your household: It will soon be International Dinosaur Day!

Though the big day takes place on May 18, National Geographic Kids is celebrating all month long in fearsome fashion with "DinoMAYnia," an entertaining, fun-filled exploration of prehistoric creatures.

DinoMAYnia features renowned paleontologist and National Geographic Explorer Nizar Ibrahim, whose groundbreaking discoveries about Spinosaurus have forever changed the way we think about dinosaurs and changed the way we imagine the prehistoric era when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Kids and parents can follow Ibrahim throughout the month on an incredible journey back in time by visiting the DinoMAYnia hub and checking out the incredible selection of dinosaur books. At the hub, you'll also find prehistoric profiles, a Design-a-Dino poster contest, printable DinoMAYnia poster and even a dinosaur personality quiz.

Plus, follow @NatGeoBooks on Twitter and Facebook for weekly Dino Dispatches and fascinating trivia. Parents can visit the Reimagining Dinosaurs hub for more fascinating stories about dinosaurs, including some of the latest dinosaur discoveries that continue to change the way we understand the prehistoric reptiles.
