"Bachelorette" star Tayshia Adams, who fell in love with Zac Clark during the series' most recent season, will host the show alongside fellow alum Kaitlyn Bristowe, and says that people are looking for a change in the show.

Adams appeared on the latest episode of the "Going to Bed With Garcelle" podcast and was grilled on the upcoming season, which premieres later this summer.

"Everything just kind of fell into place to where the world needs something fresh and new," the 30-year-old reality star said. "And I think that we are going to provide that this season."

"I think that people are looking for change in the franchise. And I really think that this is something that they're going to be really excited about," she said.

The "Bachelor" alum, who is biracial, also touched on the historical implication of her being asked to take over for longtime franchise host, Chris Harrison.

"It's so funny because if you would've told me I would be right here today, I would have never thought that this would be my position," she said. "Just because, you know, 'The Bachelor' is pretty traditional in the sense of ... they have, like, their rhyme or reason."

Adams was also asked about her thoughts concerning her former flame, Colton Underwood, who recently came out as gay, and responded she "didn't suspect it at all."

It was previously revealed in March that Harrison will not be returning to host "The Bachelorette" after he came under fire for defending Rachael Kirkconnell -- after pictures of the former "The Bachelor" contestant at an Old South antebellum party in 2018 surfaced online -- to former "Bachelorette" star Rachel Lindsay, the Bachelor Nation franchise's first Black lead.

The next "Bachelorette" season premieres with lead Katie Thurston on June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
