Transcript for Big matchup between Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers at the SEC championship game
As you know this is a big story. Big day in college football and rob right there in the middle of it. He's in Atlanta at the S.E.C. Championship. Rob, feel free to ask me any questions. I didn't get any text from you. No, Dan, you're cut. I can't hear you. Thanks for your help again. It's conference championship Saturday. Today's games will determine who goes to the bowls. The playoffs. I'm alongside David Pollack who knows a lot more than me. Certainly, not more than Dan Harris. Let's talk about today's game. We got georgia/lsu. Lsu undefeated seemingly can lose this game but still get in the playoffs but this is a must-win for Georgia. What do they have to do? A lot has to go right for them. Their offense struggled. Their defense is great. The defense has been phenomenal all year long but there's an old adage that defense wins championships. Right. That's old for a reason. It's the not same case anymore. You have to be on the score. If offense can continue or offense can get better and play better, I think they'll have a chance but just it's been a struggle for them offensively finding themselves but the playoff is here and coming and today's games matter, most of them, so Georgia's got to win. As a Georgia bulldog yourself you seem deflated with this analysis. Yeah, there's -- I would love to be able to tell you like with my chest out Georgia is going to win. I mine I think lsu is the better team. Well, fromm is -- burrow -- he's amazing. Oregon takes down Utah. All eyes on the big 12 championship. In Waco where Baylor -- where Jalen was able to come back and beat Baylor. What do you expect today? They came back by 25 and Baylor had -- that's Baylor's only lost to ou and had a 25-point lead and should have won so it's going to be a great rematch. Baylor is a physical team. Physical defense. Jalen hurts, Oklahoma, baker Mayfield was here. Kyler Murray was in the playoffs and Oklahoma trying to do it with a third quarterback in three straight years and speaks to how good their defense is continuing year in and year out. So after all the games today we figure it out tomorrow at noon on ESPN. That's when they'll announce who goes to the playoffs. What do you think will happen? I thought Utah might be there. They're gone. And then obviously here is going to dictate. Kind of pretty black and white. So whoever wins the big 12 championship game if Georgia loses here is in. I wish I could give you more drama. Because we've got like 24 hours of TV tomorrow, it would be great to have some drama and somebody to be upset but -- That seemingly happens every year, but it's been so murky all season long. It's nice to see somewhat come to a head now. Yes, it's nice to be -- to the end but it was good to have Minnesota and -- Yeah, that was fun. In the mix. You skipped Minnesota last week. Yeah, it was tough weather week. Glad you enjoyed it. David Pollack, thank you very much. ESPN "Gameday" coming up at 9:00 eastern time. Guys, we'll toss it back to you. Dan, thanks for your help. You guys did quite well without me. Keep up the good work. Didn't need your expertise. No. Thanks, rob. Neither did the viewers.
